the shell-makers, through exhibits, educational programs, library services
and publications. 2) further awareness of nature and the natural environment.

on southwest Florida and the Gulf of Mexico.

More than 95% of the library holdings have been computerized. The library
holds more than 90% of molluscan literature (especially items published before
1950), this should be an excellent resource for malacologists and conchologists.
Beyond the holdings of the main library, the departmental library has many
additional volumes, particularly items published after 1950.
